Are UFO's Real? Dr. Steven Greer and the Disclosure Project

Caught a few minutes of George Noory's interview with Dr. Steven Greer on Coast to Coast AM. Although I am skeptical by nature, I decided to look into his work a little further:

The Doctor runs an organization known as The Disclosure Project

Here's another piece about his work in UFO Evidence

This is a picture of a purported UFO in Mexico in 1997.

16 Blocks and a PS About Another Movie You Should See

Watched 16 Blocks last night ad my wife and I both enjoyed it very much.
Richard Donner did his usual bang up job with this non-stop Cat and Mouse penned(tightly and with excellent dialogue) by Richard Wenk. Bruce Willis gave the best performance of his career and Mos Def and David Morse were stupendous. Get yourself a snack, pop in the DVD and enjoy the ride.

Star Trek Disconnect, JJ Abrams at the Starfleet Academy and AOL Customer Service Caught on Tape

As a kid I watched the Original Star Trek in re-runs. It was it seemed; always on, so I saw each episode at least five times.
But I never got into any of the other iterations. Bryce Zabel posted about his and J. Michael Staczinksi's Rebooting of the Star Trek Universe and it got me thinking. Maybe the reason that I have left the franchise alone all this time is that I am simply a Star Trek purist(and if I 'm not seeing Kirk and Spock, I'm not seeing genuine Star Trek)
Word is out that Star Trek is coming back focusing on the earlier lives of the original characters with JJ Abrams at the helm. It's due out in 2008.

Customer Service ala AOL

Rest in Peace Mr. Donner

On Thursday June 8th we lost one of our Acting Greats.

Although he was perhaps best known for his role as Exidor on the popular sitcom Mork & Mindy, during his extensive career he gave his considerable acting talents to many projects.

Thank you for all the wonderful work Mr. Donner, you will be missed.

Marian Apparitions: Zeitoun, Egypt

Over the centuries many have claimed to see Mary the mother of Jesus,
The most famous in recent times is probably the purported visitations at Medjagorje.
But hands down the most interesting and evidenced (Lots of photographs like the one above and eyewitness accounts) are the 1968-1971 sightings at Zeitoun, Egypt.

Lily Dale,Psychic Mediums and James Van Praagh

I just finished reading Christine Wicker's book Lily Dale about the upstate New York Spiritualist community. It was a little jumpy for me but it did succeed in giving me an overview of what goes on there.
I am not a believer in Mediums, I remain unconvinced of any real phenomena occurring. But if anyone feels they have absolute proof, that a medium had either predicted the future or contacted the other side please let me know.

Here is a great piece by Joe Nickell on frequent TV show guest James Van Praagh.
